Beginning June 16th - September 2025, Research Requests are free for local Thunder Bay Public Library Card Holders while the Brodie Branch is Closed for renovations. We ask that you limit your requests to 2 per month with up to 6 articles or scans per request so we can help as many researchers as possible. Fees will still be applicable to out of town requests.
Looking to get copies of the obituaries of your ancestors? Doing research for a novel or book you’re working on? The Thunder Bay Public Library Research Team would be happy to locate your desired articles.
Starting at a base rate of $15.00, this service provides direct electronic delivery of your requested materials. The rate is $15 per half hour of staff time required to find, gather, and prepare the materials for your request. Proceeds from your research requests will go towards funding the digitization and preservation of our collections, ensuring their availability for generations to come.
