The novel It Ends With Us has become very popular among today's youth, and is already frequently discussed on social media platforms. It Ends With Us became the catalyst that marked my and other young people's introduction to reading. I never read much in general, but I used to see posts about this novel on all of my social media profiles. Naturally, I had to read it for myself to see why there was so much excitement. And, to be honest, I could understand why this book was generating so much buzz.
Colleen did an amazing job of delivering the realistic journey of women going through abuse through the character of Lily. Colleen was able to collide Lily's past and future, to write the life that was meant for her. Lily, who recently moved and is eager to begin her post-college life, meets Ryle and develops feelings for him. Atlas, her first love, reappears and disrupts Lily and Ryle's relationship just as she starts to feel something for him. Everything stems from Lily's prior trauma, which ultimately relates to everything that will happen in her life in the future.
All things considered, this book was fantastic and, if you don't read much, I would highly suggest starting with it. It will undoubtedly encourage you to read other books, particularly those written by Colleen Hoover. This book will take you on an emotional roller coaster while illuminating the experiences of women who are abused.
