A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens starts by introducing us to Scrooge and Marley, who were business partners for longer than anyone could remember. Marley had died and Scrooge did not care that Marley had died. Plenty of years had passed and it was Christmas Eve. Scrooge was a miserable old man. Scrooge had gone home and he was seeing the ghost of Marley. The ghost of Marley told Scrooge that he would be visited by three ghosts: the Ghost of Christmas Past, the Ghost of Christmas Present, and the Ghost of Christmas Future. The ghosts showed Scrooge what happened in the Past, what's happening in the Present, and what happens in the Future. After all the visits from the ghosts Scrooge realizes he has to change.
This is my first time reading this story and I enjoyed it. Before I read it, I thought I might enjoy it because I like watching Mickey's Christmas Carol. I really liked how in the beginning Scrooge didn't care and was miserable and that by the end of the story, after being visited by the three ghosts, he changed. I enjoyed how he goes from hating Christmas to enjoying it. I would recommend this book to anyone, especially if it's Christmas time and you need something that is not too short and not too long to read.
